Singapore's National Anthem and Pledge

The National Anthem of Singapore
Written and Composed by the Late Encik Zubir Said (3 Dec 1959)

MAJULAH SINGAPURA
Mari kita rakyat Singapura
Sama-sama menuju bahagia
Cita-cita kita yang mulia
Berjaya Singapura
Marilah kita bersatu
Dengan semangat yang baru
Semua kita berseru
Majulah Singapura
Majulah Singapura

Its Meaning
ONWARD SINGAPORE
(English Translation)
We, the people of Singapore
Together march towards happiness
Our noble aspiration
To make Singapore a success
Let us all unite
In a new spirit
Together we proclaim
Onward Singapore
Onward Singapore

The Pledge
Written by the Late Mr S Rajaratnam (1966)
We, the citizens of Singapore,
pledge ourselves as one united people,
regardless of race, language or religion,
to build a democratic society
based on justice and equality
so as to achieve happiness, prosperity and progress for our nation.

Singapore is a globalised country and many foreign talents are getting the Singapore's citizenship. I hope they all can sing Singapore National Anthem and the say the Pledge, of course with pride and honour. This is especially to the foreign imports in sports (Table Tennis, Badminton, Swimming, etc) . I hope to hear the Chinese foreign talents in the Table Tennis team sing our national anthem and say our pledge.

This are just my thoughts and view points.

Best regards.
